Biotech’s Corn Demo Farm Harvest Festival Now on its 2nd Year!

Biotech Farms Inc. hosted its Second Corn Demo Farm Harvest Festival at Ilang-ilang, Barangay New Pangasinan, Koronadal City last July 25, 2018 with the theme: “Pagbinuligay Upod kag Para sa mga Mangunguma”.

The program is Biotech’s way of helping corn growers by enriching their knowledge in choosing which hybrid corn seeds and fertilizers are suitable for their next cropping that will favor them in the future.

Present in the event were the Corn Working Group (CWG) which includes the Asian Hybrid, DuPont Pioneer, Snygenta Philippines, Bioseed, Yara, Atlas, and Sinochem Philippines. Participating Corn Companies presented their own technologies with the farmers. During the demo, the participants were able to witness the different technologies used from different applications.

Aside from the participating corn companies the event was also attended by different cooperatives, corn farmers, and members from the local government units.

Kagawad Joseph Tolentino of the Barangay Council of New Pangasinan, delivers his opening remarks to welcome the participants. Mr. Jonathan Dumanig of BFI’s Business Engagement Services Team presented the future goals and plans of Biotech Farms for the corn farmers. He emphasized the company as an existing market for their corn crops, buying them at a good price.

The 2nd Corn Demo Farm Harvest Festival was made possible with the help of the following Biotech’s partners; the Koronadal City Agriculture Office and New Pangasinan Credit Cooperative (NPCC), and in cooperation of the corn working group.
